The work included demolition of the existing pavement, construction of a new taxiway, new storm water management facilities, taxiway lighting, site preparation, full depth concrete pavement with asphalt shoulders. The new taxiway will help support the on base operational and mission requirements.
Scope of Services
Meyer Consulting Engineers Corporation functioned as the Special Inspection Agency of Record. MCE was responsible for all on-site and off-site testing of construction materials such as earthwork, concrete and asphalt pavements. MCE also provided settlement monitoring services including monitoring of settlement plates and piezometers. Work began in February 2021 with completion in July 2022. The construction cost was $300,000.00.
