The Waypoint is located in the Fairlington neighborhood of Alexandria. The Construction consisted of a 4-story building with a two-way flat plate concrete transfer slab, cast in place concrete foundations, wood framing, structural steel and masonry with an underground garage.
Scope of Services
Meyer Consulting Engineers is functioning as the Special Inspection Agency for the project. MCE utilized qualified personnel, state-of-the-art equipment, and systems to handle the special inspections and construction materials testing for this project. Our work included conducting a wide range of tests and observations performed in both on-site inspection and off-site laboratory testing of soils, cast-in-place concrete, reinforcing steel, masonry, wood framing, and structural steel to determine compliance with the plans, specifications, and referenced industry standards.
