Project Description

Size & Type of Project – Mixed Use

Pike & Rose is a new mixed use, transit oriented development on a 24 acre campus having the following components:

  • 1.1 Million SF Million of Office Space
  • 430,000 SF of Retail
  • 1,500 Residential Units
  • 300 Room Boutique Hotel
  • 4,000+ Parking Spaces

The site’s strategic location features easy access via the White Flint Metro Red Line station and an improved roadway network linking to Interstate 270 and the Capitol Beltway. Construction is proceeding in phases with phase one retail scheduled to be completed by late 2014 and phase one apartments in summer 2014. The first four phases of the project broke ground in summer 2012. The phase one retail will include iPic Theaters. The design concept of the entire development is creating vibrant urban space from scratch and construction with the feel that it has been built over time.

MCE Scope of Services

Meyer Consulting Engineers Corporation is providing comprehensive construction phase quality control, inspection and testing services for phases 1, 2, & 3 of the project including off-site laboratory analysis of construction materials.

Key MCE staff includes Sanjoy Bose, P.E. (Principal Project Engineer), Charles Fountain (Inspections Project Manager), Augusto Alfaro (Laboratory Manager) and Mezmur Beyene, E.I.T. (Senior Building Inspector). The construction cost of phase one is $250 Million.
