Project Description

Size & Type of Project – Medical Research/Chemical Defense Research

The new Army C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) at Aberdeen Proving Grounds is part of the implementation of the 2005 Base Realignment & Closure law and consists of approximately 2.5 million square feet of office and laboratory space. The Consolidated North building is part of phase II of the overall project. It will house personnel working for the in the CERDEC Command & Control Directorate Fabrication Division, the CECOM LCMC Safety Directorate and the PEO C3T Special Projects Office.

The building complex features steel framed structures consisting of approximately 537,700 SF supported by spread foundations with a construction cost of $20,100,000.

MCE Scope of Services

Meyer Consulting Engineers Corporation was retained to provide contractor quality control (CQC) services in accordance with Army Corps standards. This work included on and off site inspection and testing of construction materials; off site materials testing in our certified laboratory; production of daily, interim and final reports and all other Quality Control documentation required by the Army Corps.

Construction began in August 2009 and was completed in May 2011.
